Volkswagen Golf beste auto ter wereld

De Golf bekleedt dus het hoogste schavot in autoland. Op de World Car of the Year Awards te New-York kwam hij net voor de Ford Fiesta en Toyota IQ. Er waren uiteraard nog andere categorieën, de Fiat 500 won in de designcategorie, de Nissan GT-R in de performance-car-categorie en de Honda FCX Clarity in de groene categorie.
